Galveston Partner Maureen Kuzik McCutchen was elected to the Board of Directors of Special Olympics Texas (website) for a two-year term beginning January 1, 2014. Special Olympics Texas provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for over 44,000 children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics Texas gives its athletes opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
