Megan S. Jones joined the firm as an Associate in 2017. She practices in the firm's litigation section, her focus includes municipal and government, personal injury, construction, and breach of contract law. She is licensed in Texas. Born in Houston, Megan graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas with a major in Economics and a minor in Theatre. She returned home to Houston for law school and graduated from South Texas College of Law in 2009. During her time at South Texas, she competed in multiple mock and moot court competitions earning best speaker awards. She began her law career in Austin as an Assistant General Counsel for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ). She left TDCJ to follow her husband to Galveston, Texas for his medical residency program. In 2012, she joined the Galveston County District Attorney's Office as a prosecutor. She has first and second chaired numerous misdemeanor and felony jury trials. She has also handled civil and criminal appeals.
Megan currently lives in Galveston, Texas with her husband, two children, and dog. She enjoys running and volunteering her time with the Galveston County Junior League.
