Sherrill joined the firm in 1995 as a senior associate, practicing primarily with the firm's government and employment law group, with an emphasis on school law. She has served as general counsel for Galveston Independent School District, assisting the District with personnel issues, student discipline, employee grievances, employee training, contracts, policies and procedures, and numerous other issues.
Specializing in summary judgment matters, Sherrill prepares summary judgments for various government entities and other clients on Texas Tort Claims Act claims, federal and state Civil Rights especially immunity issues, federal and state employment law issues, and various other state and federal matters for which summary judgment is a viable option.
