After joining Mills Shirley in 1993, Scott opened the firm's San Antonio office in 2002. Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in both Civil Trial and Civil Appellate Law, Scott provides advice to design and construction professionals in avoiding and resolving problems that arise in the course of complex building projects. His clients include architects, engineers, surveyors, contractors, subcontractors, and materials suppliers throughout the South and Central Texas area. He is a frequent speaker at Risk Management Seminars, and an instructor at the annual Professional Practice Leadership Program sponsored by AIA San Antonio. In addition to his litigation practice, Scott trained at the A.A. White Dispute Resolution Center at the University of Houston and serves as a mediator in construction and other legal disputes. Scott serves on the Board of the San Antonio Bar Association Construction Law Secton, and is a member of the Governmental Affiars Committee of the Associated Builders & Contractors South Texas Chapter.
